The first “live" museum in Małopolska. It houses collections presenting the development of mining and steelworks industry in the Tatras in the 18th and 19th century, historic wooden buildings of the Podhale, as well as natural exhibits and a shepherd’s section. Visitors to the museum may see the traditional methods of making butter and shredding cabbage. In the Miniature Park, there are models of famous people from Zakopane. One can also try on Gorale clothing or learn how to weave using a loom.
